Beauty is everywhere! And it’s my goal, as an artist, is to find that beauty  and to share these wonderful sights and feelings it with others. There is a hugh difference between pretty  and beautiful art. Everyone can see the prettiness of a blooming rose on a a sunny day, but it takes an artist’s eye to see beauty in a family of mushrooms growing in the damp, dark, debris of the forest floor. I strive to make my paintings “happy---not pretty”, by searching for the beauty and warm feeling in the “everyday things” as well as the “roses”

I've painted in many locations but always return to the spot I love and know best,  Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with it’s unspoiled rural areas and it’s quaint, hardworking Amish farmers.  I try to capture this feeling in my watercolors.
